Kathy Gardner has the privilege of raising 4 sons: Charlie (9), James (6), Henry (2), and George (infant). Her third child and only daughter, Tinsley, was stillborn in December 2017 at 32 weeks because of a true double knot in her umbilical cord. Kathy and her family live in Sandy Hook, CT, where Kathy works from home full-time as a public relations and communications professional. Writing has played a critical role in helping Kathy navigate life after loss, as she continues to learn how to simultaneously carry both grief and joy. You can find her writing at Less Than 1%: Surviving My Stillborn, Glow in the Woods, and Share Magazine. Passionate about supporting stillbirth families, Kathy also volunteers with the NY Metro chapter of the Star Legacy Foundation, managing its peer companion program. She is honored to share her voice with the PAL community.
